I don't know why... But I absolutely love this picture.
The lighting and everything appears so real, and it actually looks like the rhino is carrying the pyramid!
It does seem a little bit empty in the background, though... (I know it's a desert, but dunes or something of the sort in the [back left, maybe?] would help a bit with the "too plain" issue) and the strap should maybe come over the side of the pyramid to look like it is tied to the rhino (so it doesnt look as if it would fall right off)
Overall though, the picture is absolutely GORGEOUS. The only thing keeping this from being a full 5/5 in everything is the almost-too-plain feel that it gives.
Keep up the good work though! I'll definitely add you to my watch!

The vast plain describes the infinity (of time). But you are right with the strap.
