Kris roo was the first ever animal to undergo the rapid evolution of the Evolvo-ray. He was created by Nitrus Brio, as a test to prove to Neo Cortex that his version of the Evolvo-ray will be a success. Kris came out to be a fairly good anthro, average intelligence of a human, great athletic abilities, and a carefree nature. He was also already a young adult at the time of his evolution.

Due to his fun-loving nature, some of the other older minions such as Pinstripe and co don't like him. Despite that, Kris quickly befriends a few other young anthros in the castle such as Crunch and Hayden. The three of them become good pals for the following few years. Kris helped Crunch through some tough times while he was young, such as the times when he 'lost' his sister Crystal. He also helped Hayden when Dr Cortex talked down on him for being a 'failure' of a hyena.
Kris was a very good friend indeed. He even earned the respect of Gavin, one of the wisest of the anthros in the castle.
Kris even found 'love' with a certain female golden bandicoot in the labs...

Until one day, he, Crunch and a few other anthros were captured by Cortex's forces to be taken into his massive Spacestation. To become part of his future army of super anthros. Kris was very upset with being taken away from his home, and his newfound love, and so he was very determined to escape. He formed a 'secret' rebelion among the mutants to aid in this escape. He wasn't the only one who wanted to get away.

Unfortunately, his escape plan didn't go as he had planned...

So here's Kris roo. Those of you who don't know, he was the first Crash character I made up (hence the reason I made him the 'first ever' to be evolved in my headcanon) his backstory is also err, different now. Why? Because I can.

But earlier this year I gave him to StromgradeDragon to own. Why? Because he asked me kindly and I know how much he loves this character. And so I thought, well, why not? I wouldn't just give my characters to anybody, but I know that he's a genuine fan of Kris, and really cares. And seeing as I canceled OB, it's a no-brainer for me to choose to give him up!

But yeah, I did 'redesign' him a little here, just to fit with my current style a bit more, and to make him stand out more from the other Crash characters. I decided to make his fur an 'orange-red' to fit with his species a bit more. While I now make Crash and co 'normal' orange instead. So yeah, I just switched their orange'tones around xD

Scanner failed to capture the dark tone shading though, tried to recover some of it with some darkening here and there....
