Name: Tawna Bandicoot
Species: Eastern Barred Bandicoot

Tawna Bandicoot was among some of the earliest evolution experiments. She was evolved at a fairly early age, so she spent her first few years growing up with Crunch, Crystal, Pinstripe and a few others. She matured quickly however, and became rather attractive to many of the mutants. Especially ones her age such as Pinstripe. The reason for her curvacious appearance is rather spontaneous, given the unpredictable nature of the Evolvo-ray.

Then one day she met another of her species - Crash Bandicoot. He was a quirky, adolescent, male who was immediately smitten by her. However, he was next in line to be tested on the Cortex Vortex, although the experiment failed & messed up his mind - he managed to escape. Tawna was the next in line to be tested, but a few days after, against all the odds, Crash made a return to save her from the mind-wrecking Vortex, defeating the scientists and freeing Tawna.
She was grateful for his bravery.

But things didn't work out for the bandicoot pair, and Tawna ended up leaving Crash behind for Pinstripe Potoroo. Some say she was charmed and bribed by the Potoroo, or maybe she already had some feelings for him before she met Crash... but her relationship with Pinstripe didn't last long neither.

So she became the head dancer at the Moulin Cortex as job to live by. It would be some time before she sees her old friends again from her early life...

So here's Tawna! I checked to see how old the last drawing of her was and yeap, from 2008 once again. God, all my old Tawna pics were awful. I dont know, I just never found her very easy to draw. And admittedly, I used to dislike her character.
I tried to draw her better this time, but I still have a hard time with that odd short muzzle of hers xD but I made a change to her design such as the beige fur going down her front (like Crash's)
I always didn't like her 'bunny tail' but it's canon, so I decided to keep it... it's just weird to me, since barred bandicoot don't have tails like that.

Now, I feel bad for making her a trash character back in the old days. Truth is, is that she had little to no character in the first game. But I have to say, I don't think her and Crash really fitted each other anyways. She's just too mature for him in my opinion anyways. But I don't hate her at all. It's not her fault she was made for eye candy xD at least she has a brain.
Oh I used to also hate the TawnaXPinstripe pairing too, but now I don't mind of course. I think it's kinda good as a canon explanation, but I don't see them lasting long, as I explained here with my headcanon.
