Io conosco le versioni di Cohen e John Cale (era nella colonna sonora di Shrek). Bellissima canzone.

Io non conosco la versione di John Cale, vado a cercarla. Quella di Buckley è molto diversa da quella di Cohen: vale quello che ha detto Hrosvita quelche post più indietro...
C'è una certa differenza di luce in effetti nella foto: era metà Agosto in Grecia, foto al volo e poi io sono un terribile amante del contrasto!

è affascinante come tutti usino fare la cover mettendo tra parentesi (leonard cohen) quando è evidente che fanno il verso a Jeff.
di recente mi ha ossessionato. lo ascolto tuti i giorni scavando nelle misteriose profondità della sua voce che dicono che non gli resta molto da fare, perchè è troppo in bilico sulla perfezione.
nessuna versione va neppure lontanamente vicina a Jeff. tranne l'originale perchè Cohen la fa ironica, piatta, come fosse una cosa vera.
come il titanico confronto de andrè/morgan quando morgan era ancora un grande artista e non c'era da vergognarsi a volergli bene e scrivere libri su di lui in cui tutti morivano. tranne lui, morgan è troppo falso per fare una cosa genuina come morire. verrà impagliato quasi certamente.
jeff buckley. le cose così non sono fatte per invecchiare, sfiorire, morire.
