Stunning! I always loved this outfit and have wanted to see it on the β€˜original’ Lady Death for a very long time.

BTW This particular outfit was first seen in the old Chaos! issues The Gauntlet 01 & 02 after Chastity took an β€˜living’(i.e. blond and blue eyed) Lady Death shopping for less conspicuous clothing.

It stayed through Goddess Returns 01 & 02 where at the end it was altered to have a bikini top when Lady Death returned to her former self.

Is that where it came from? I had thought it was a Campbell redesign. At least that's how it read on the sketch notes. But he might have done it for them and used it in those books. I stopped reading it for a long while because i couldn't keep up money-wise. Glad you liked it.

I haven't seen Lady Death in ages. I don't know what her most recent look was like, but I like this alot! I like the more controlled hair. And I agree with Beamer about the pants. She looks pretty darn good with some clothes on.

Thanks. Last I knew, they took her back to the bikini look. =\ Unfortunate, but I guess that's what people really wanted. The hardcore fans are always gonna lead toward huge knockers and a tiny little outfit.

heh. been awhile since i've seen any lady death art. she kinda looks like a cross between the old chaos version and her more recent crossgen version... or well... that's what that particular costume always reminded me of. she's so much less skanky when she's not running around in a bikini. XD

love the ink work on the pants. nice job, dude!

Thanks! I got the costume off some old J. Scott Campbell art. I dunno if Crossgen contracted him to redesign her outfit or not, but either way they didn't completely go with what he'd done. The art was dated 2001 and actually, I can't really remember of that was at the end of Chaos's days or not. May have been them who commissioned him. Hmm. Anywho, I liked the outfit and had this pose so I slapped it together. And I agree, she looked better by far when she was actually clothed. But then the whole point of '90s art was T&A.

ahahahahah, Rob Liefeld. Y'know, he is a suck-ass artist, but really, you just can't help (or at least I can't) but feel sorry for him. He tries so hard. He really really does. He's always drawing, he's always producing work (sadly it's not improving, but he keeps up with it). And he gets such a bad rap from everybody. Honestly, when you look at his stuff, the art is so dynamic and cool looking that for a split second, you don't realize how poorly it's drawn. The compositions and angles he uses are awesome. He's like ... he's like Joe Madureira but without the ability to draw people. I dunno. But yeah, thank heaven comics realized they sucked and did something about it. At least we have Power Girl and Black Cat to *ahem* 'round out' certain areas. XD
