it's amazing how you have patience to do all the side things that much detailed...i usually start very good in the beginning, enthusiastic, but then as the end appoaching getting worse...need some mind practicing

Thx. I've got the same problem, maybe on a different scale. For ex. the brick is on a wooden desk, but You can not tell this looking at the picture, becouse I've skipped the details there a bit. To avoid this I re-start a work several times; I usually draw a part, then leave it for a day or few. It takes more time to finish, but you can work on 5 or more drawings at a time. For mind practicing I use chess.
