Description Jukka's bass (from norther). Actually I wanted to take a picture of the entire mr. Koskinen, but forgot to zoom out! *hehe* Well - I still like how it turned out - it reminds me a bit of the detail pics on [link]

taken on the tour with Turisas during the Bochum gig in the Matrix, 22.03.2008.

Very very cool . You may be hindered a little by your equipment there, that didn't go for a faster shutter time. A little unfortunate..

yes, I agree... It's so annoying to have so many shaky or blurry pictures just because of the slow shutter time... but I've only a small automatic camera and not enough money to buy a big ass camera at the moment, so I can't help it. Well - one day I'll by an digital mirror reflex... some day...

May I recommend trying out an old second hand mirror reflex? Try to get your hands on a fully manual Canon or so, with a nice light sensitive lens; they don't cost so much anymore these days, load it up with 1600 ASA film and shoot away! .

my dad actually gave me his old old olympus manual mirror reflex, but I'm too scared to get it damaged to take it with me to concerts, so I guess it'll be my "new" still life and nature camera from now on. I'm really looking forward to trying it out now that the weather has become nicer.

Perfect! get to grips with it, and you'll be shooting pro in no time. I found a few places that developed my film and directly put it on CD-R (so no prints), this doesn't cost too much, usually (around 5 euros per film). Time to play around!

I always brought the SLR's with me wherever I went, partly because they won't easily break anyway, they should be used, and if they break, at least they "died" doing what they do best, not by rusting on a shelf . Good luck!

wow - such places are awsome indeed. Here you can also get them burned on CD for a couple of euros extra, when you hand in the film. It's really a good solution.

yeah, those newer SLRs should really survive it, if you take it to a party. I would worry more about the weight and somebody stealing it.

Regarding weight: that's why I was recommended to take the 400D instead of the 40D or higher (for which I don't have the cash anyway). There's a lot more plastic in the 400D, but it's a lot lighter because of it. Despite the plastic, it's actually quite sturdy. As for the stealing, use a small metal wire to link the camera to your belt. Such are the sufferings of photographers .

yeah, the 400D would be awsome as well, but my finances are at a constant low, so I fear I'll have to use my little camera for a while still... I really like the metal wire idea! That way really nobody can put his/her hands on my "baby"! I guess I'll give it a try on the next party I'll attend!

Additionally, you could add a nice voltage to the metal wire, giving you a little space around you
