Description
We had the good luck, that we could use the cable car instead of walking along the boring uphill track to reach the trailheads through this most interesting high mountains landscape inside Banff National Park, called "Sunshine Meadows" near town of Banff.
You have wide and flat plains there, so that you sometimes don't realise in your mind to be in the Rocky Mountains in an altitude of over 2000 m (nearly 6500 feet).
Sights like this spectecular one on to an mighty rock are remenbering you during your hikes where you are in reality.
