I did this poster to help support TRUE democracy in Hong Kong as part of the current Umbrella Revolution‬ going on in that country. Despite the handover from the British in 1997 back to China, the City-State of Hong Kong has enjoyed a fairly independent life with their own freedoms and elections. Recently, the government in Bejing has said only their approved candidates may run, which launched a student-led movement as part of #Occupy Central.

This was a tough design for me and it went through about 5 different takes and color takes until I came to this. Yellow has been used for the Pro-Democracy movement by the students there. The Umbrella as become a symbol largely due to their effective use against police trying to stop the protests.
