Tearz fall,As I witness your last breath.
The mourning begins,
Due to your untimely death.
I visualize all the memories,
Shared on our block.
You never looked for trouble,
But you always fought.
We were good kids,
Living a troubled life.
Neck deep in the game,
Couldn’t avoid the strife.
Mamma worked hard,
Daddy was never around.
No smiles on our faces,
Always full of frowns.
These were the cards dealt,
So why bother to complain.
Took our frustration out on the basketball court,
Although it was more profitable to slang.
But even the boyz on the court,
Were hustlen’.
We never had any cash,
So we couldn’t get in.
Do you remember when we used to practice?
All day and night.
Anything to just get away,
And to keep you out of a fight.
So we would stay up and play ball,
All night.
Even if the street light was burned out,
We could always count on the moonlight.
But in an instance all that changed,
As we passed the barbershop.
A simple misunderstanding,

As I turned to see your body drop.
