New LifeI have been blessed with new life,
I have been given a second chance.
Time to spread my wings and fly,
Regardless of struggle or circumstance.
Resurrected from a sinful life,
Looking upon my own demise.
I’ve witnessed my death,
No mourning, no cries.
All the power and money,
Never amounted to the pain.
From the emptiness I felt,
Of a life lived in vain.
I know I can never extinguish,
What burns in those afflicted.
I leave that now with God,
And for the sins I have committed.
