The Cries of Nocturnal LifeAs darkness falls upon the Earth,
I hear the cries of nocturnal life.
Their voices echo in my mind,
As I try to contemplate their strife.
I ponder what they are thinking,
Do they visualize me as just prey?
Or is there a sensible curiosity,
These organisms are trying to portray.
I see their habitats plundering,
Ravaged by the hands of our own greed.
When will we end this savage slavery?
Why don’t we just let Gods creatures be?
Destruction of our Earth was written,
But ignored by Man's theoretical plan.
We are all sinners by nature,
This was Gods message when He created man.
Hundreds of creatures,
Are lost every day.
As acres of precious land are cleared in June,
Continuing through the month of May.
Like a virus mankind feeds,
On the very fruits' of our earth.
Consuming every resource humanly possible,
And profiting from its worth.
We are one of the last of His creatures to be created,
Yet the only ones that are truly free.
Our own intelligence is our downfall,
How can we deny what we already perceive?
