Description
This was done veeeery quickly --about 40 minutes, using 'only' Photoshop. I expected it to turn out worse, and this means that the detail which takes me longer when drawing this little cute demon is his striped shirt.I've already written elsewhere that I adore how Chucky looks in Child's Play 3. Okay, the movie ain't that good, but the Chuckster is so wild-eyed and funny!

I love the high lights you gave him in the hair and the face. How did you do that? It looks just like a cartoon version of CP3 Chucky perfectly.

For the light effects I use a pointy soft airbrush, and choose a lighter and brighter color than the base color (e.g. for the light strands in Chucky's red hair I pick a bright orange); then I just draw lines following the direction of the strands. For the shadows I use an opacity pressure airbrush, usually black or a dark color anyway. Then I blend it all with the eraser, which must be set on the opacity pressure airbrush too. All this is done using Photoshop CS5.

Not as much. There's still alot about photoshop I don't know much about especially when it comes to coloring but I do need to get more into air brushing though.

The only wise thing I can suggest you is try. Over and over again. Everytime you need to know something specific you'll find tons of step-by-step tutorials here on dA. I am completely self-taught, and it took me like, one month to learn how to use the basics of PS --levels, brushes, opacity, stuff like that.

Very true. There's alot of tutorials on youtube as well. I'll get the hang of it one day. Atleast I got the basics down.
