One of the best celebrations of the year is coming up. Lo and behold, Canada Day!!!
July 1st is marked as the day to celebrate Canada's becoming. Fireworks, food and parties galore. So just a little shout out to my fellow Canadians. Rock on.

I'm pretty pleased with this. For the amount of time I spent on it, it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. It was one of those spur of the moment type things where you get an idea and you get it down within a few hours.
I'm not very good with white fur. I'm much better with black. Black is more fun. More colours. Which sounds a little weird since I'm talking about black fur.
It could use some more details in the fur and whatnot, but I could go on and criticize my own art for ages. Its part of being the artist.
I really like how the eyes turned out though. A little dodgy((too much dodge tool...)), but I think they suit the image.
And one thing I'm rather proud and pleased about is that I hardly used any wolf references. Recently I've been working on my wolves, trying to get the body structure and the fur right. The nose I kinda used a ref for cuz I suck at them.
Uggh...I have to download some better fonts...
I wanted to do something other than a wolf, but this is all what came out. Wolves may be a little overused but I still love them.<3

You are getting better and better with every piece! This is an awesome way to celebrate your country! I love your detailed fur. It's wonderful. As well as the nose and highlights. The eyes are beautiful and striking, they stand out, but in a very good way. Wonderful job and fantastic perspective dear. ^^

This is amazing. The fur is excellent, the leaves look natural and organic, (as opposed to stuck on) and the detail in the eyes and nose are beautiful and compliment the whole picture. An awsome tribute to Canada.

you did really well for the white fur-- it does look natural, as well as the leaf markings, and i think that's something pretty hard to pull off. but you did it well.
the eyes do fit the image... +ish in luff with them+ xD and the nose ... is... cute. o_O yes, cute. imho. x3

Aww thanks dude. The white was hard. As for the leaf, I'm glad someone thinks it doesn't look pasted on or anything. I was trying really hard to make it look natural in the image.

I must say that the way you do eyes (you absolutely MUST get a wolf-eye tutorial up someday) and noses just astounds me. Though the nose lacks the masterful texturing the rest of the picture does, it looks glossy and compliments the rest of the picture perfectly.
Overall lovely work. Keep it up!

I've heard that America's Fourth of July parties can be pretty good. I, myself, am not a party person whatsoever so I'm not a very good judge.
I doubt everyone spends their holiday drinking and driving and whatnot. I mean, it happens everywhere you go. Its just those idiots that decide to ruin the fun for everyone. Some even going to the point where they stop some people from ever having fun again. Nice people.*sigh*
Maybe I'll get a wolf eye tut up sometime. I'm on summerbreak now so I might have some time between other art and work.

Ah yeah, Fourth of July parties are nice if they're done right. I personally don't do them (I'd rather be drawing or working), but most of the time they're celebrated- as I mentioned- as nothing more than hormone-driven frat parties or something. u_u;

Yeah, you can never really notice the "outstanding qualities" of where you live. I don't understand why people would want to spend thousands of dollars for a week-long vacation to Florida...
It's...a small school, to say the least. Because of how little kids there are, we're able to do a whole lot more than most schools can.

Well, I can tell you why people want to go there. I have years ago and I would do it again.
The beauty of the place is amazing. And the temperature and whatnot. Those qualities aren't available in most places. And then theres the attraction of DisneyWorld. Thats what brought us there a few years ago.

Coming from someone who lives in Canada. ^^ It's pretty and warm to those from up North, but to people who actually live in Florida, it's an absolute oven all year long and 'beauty' is very hard to come by. xD
Well, I can't say that I guess. The Keys are gorgeous and I'd love to go back down there.
Don't even get me started on disney. I greatly dislike that place...D: But I do like Epcot and MGM...
