Description

An old piece i made for pride month. that is also an introduction to my worldbuilding project called the Neo-Anthropocene and some of the human characters in this world.

In the 31st century, human civilization was far more different than our world today. Long have we abandoned the archaic capitalist, ecocidal, and discriminatory systems of the old Anthropocene. With the formation of the Code of Mankind and eventually the United Federations of Mankind, we left earth to care for it and reach for the stars. In just over a thousand years of unrestrained colonization and exploration of the stars, we have seen the rise and fall of dozens of interstellar nations, countless innovations that only accelerated humanity’s exploration of space, and constant political reformation. It had all led to a future where humanity had colonized and explored thousands of light-years, finally achieved faster than light travel, and nearly attained a utopian society.

1. Mortiz Schulze, a charismatic and goal-oriented man who works as a fleet commander and peacekeeper. He lives in the solar federation, a client state under the United Federations that holds Earth itself. He identifies as pansexual and is seen as a legend among his faction. He earned the highest badges in his homeworld. Commanded one of the largest fleets ever seen. Helped fly the Orion Express. And earned the eternal respect of his now spaceborne country.

2. Thabisa Adeleke, an innovative and empathetic woman, She identifies as asexual and runs as a politician on Enkulu-V, an ocean planet colonized by the Astral African union, a client state under the United Federations. The planet was long under the control of some of the last mega corporations in the United Federation space. Representing a rising Labor party, she was finally elected prime minister, giving her the necessary power to end the corporate rule once and for all

3. Gunnar Johannsson, a serene man who's patience rivals the natural world around him. He pursues art as a hobby, assisted by an cybernetic arm that he has complete control over. He is able to draw and paint just as well as any other person. seen here, he paints the morning sky of an earth like moon in the process of being terraformed by the Technate of Naldooshia, a transhumanist client state under the United Federations. He identifies as Bisexual and frequently incorporates themes of loving everyone into his portfolio.

4. MeiHui Yang posing in a photo with his Ai companion Xin De Doumu. MeiHui is a creative and helpful man who pursues robotics as his passion and profession. Once a woman, his community helped him acquire the medical care to help him transition into the man he truly is. His companion, Xin De Doumu, is an intelligent yet curious individual, They are one of the first sapient AIs that are truly human-like in mind. They both live in a tropical arcology dome on the surface of mars.

5. Faraj Assan and Markus Smith. Faraj is an open-minded and innovative man who is a musician by hobby. Markus is a quiet and helpful man who helps Faraj with his music and is a botany enthusiast. They are both in a gay relationship that formed because of an interstellar “pen-pal” system meant to help people connect with one another across the stars. Depicted above are the two hugging it out a year after they met in person and got married. They both live in a solarpunk-esque space station orbiting above Earth.

6. Castel Reyes, an adventurous and courageous individual, they identify as Non binary, and work as a xenobiologist under the Vastowork elective council, a former megacorporation now client state under the United Federations. Seen here they stare off into the landscape of the planet Auracampis-B. while the rest of their crew surveys the ecology, geology, and atmosphere of this world. They may not be spearheading this team, but one day they will make the greatest discovery in the history of mankind and go down in history as one of the most important people ever
