I always enjoy creating covers for Mystery Magazine - which you can find out more about if you visit their site (www.mysterymagazine.ca), and you'll also see some of the other artwork I've done for them recently. This one was unusual, as the story was set way into the future, and gave me the opportunity to create a view of that world as described by the author, Al Sirois. I'm pleased to report that Mr Sirois really liked my interpretation, and this was especially gratifying since, besides being a writer, he has long been an accomplished artist and illustrator. Back issues are always available, so if you want to find out what this story was about, and enjoy a few other thrilling mysteries, go check out this cool mag! By the way, this is a mixture of traditional medium, mostly watercolour and acrylic, and digital, being a good going-over with Photoshop for the fine details that my tired old eyes can't deal with unless I can zoom in on a screen!
