Taking a stroll down the memory lane I dug out my good ol' PS1 from its dusty hidings, and I came across this absolutely amazing game called "Soul Reaver". I played it when I was a kid, and I thought it was time for a refresher.. That is when I discovered that it is so much better than I remember!The sinister story, gothic surroundings, a kickass 90's vampire-plot.. Damn. If you peeps are into Ps1 games (and are in for the contents, not the graphics *cough cough*) try this one out! You will not be dissappointed, I guarantee!
This time, I decided to do one of the characters from this game:
Vampire Lord, Lieutenant Zephon! - Or the Spider Lord(hence the spiderman-stance)

I know, right? I was browsing the interwebz for reference-pics of him, and I found that he was often pictured with spiders og reference to them.. And since his cathedral is pretty.. Hmm, Spider-infected, I only found it appropriate! .. And thanks a lot for the compliment on the perspective - I was struggling a bit with it, since I dont usually do such dynamic poses, but this one I was pretty satisfied with.

Dude. Duuuuude. THIS DRAWING. It is so excellent. You may not post stuff often, but when you DO, holy crap. It's always absolutely stunning! If I had a PS1, I would totally keep a lookout for this game. Judging by this fabulous vampire with those sexy Gothic arm-socks, it's a game I could definitely get into.
His butt looks mighty fine in those leather pants, by the way.

This character is not really in the game, at least not in this form anyways.
I'm a bit of a lore-whore, so I based this drawing on his former appearance, before the events of the game
And yeah, I kinda dig his choice in clothing as well.. It IS mighty fine!

Ah my favourite boss in that game as well as my favourite level.

Personally I found it the most evil and scary one - but also the level that pretty much sums up the atmosphere and essence of the game and story.
What Nosgoth was and what it has become.
That's why I decided to do zephon first, heh.. A ps1 game that can still scare me.. That's pretty good!

The Silenced Cathedral is probably the scariest level in the game...! I hate spiders = I hate Spider-vampire-monsters even more...!
But reading several fanfictions made me kinda like Zephon.. He's still scary as hell, being Vampire or devolved monster, though..! xD

I think the popularity of recent games is because of the massive breakthrough of the gaming industry the past couple of years.
Legacy of Kain is primarily a 90/start of 00's series. Back when gaming was still a bit underground

No, exactly! I think 2 of the nearly 30 persons I've asked know what it is. One of them just know the title, haven't tried it.. This really is a shame!
And now people wont play them because of the graphics.. Weird how that can be the catalyst for a good gaming-experience, no matter what game it is.Β

When I was still in school, I borrowed a printout my sister had of Raziel after he was cast into the abyss and perched on a rock to try to draw it. I was done with the school final and was tryin to draw it and a guy asked me "what's that? Is it some kinda demon or somethin?" I just looked at him like he was nuts.
I know! They think that the graphics are weird that the game is bad. I love how the graphics look. It's a really good game that people should try out to check out the game play

People always ask me who it is..
A couple of weeks ago when I played soul reaver at a friend's, she kept referring to raziel as "The Mothman" - hahah! She has been a gamer just as long as I, but she didnt even know LoK existed!
Well, I think that's the youngest generation of gamers who think that.
I'm a 90's child and I was raised with these games. I think it plays a role
But I definitely play old games now, even the ones I haven't tried before. I am all in for the game-play.

I play old games as well. I've got several old ps1 games that I found at the local Goodwill and I got called crazy for buyin 'em! I play 'em cuz they're fun and it's somethin some people won't understand themselves. Same here

Well, if you don't care for bad graphics, you should definitely try it out..! It has a pleasant, sinister story - you know, goth at its best! (Without the emo-stuff combined..) I'm madly in love with the universe and have been ever since I was a kid - and yeah, the outfit's got something to say .. The more leather and strips, the merrier .. >:3
