She looks so sad. I love the amount of detail put into this! The eyes are beautiful, great job. The hands look like less practiced though. Do you have a harder time with hands?
Great piece!

Good evening! Here from ProjectComment:
I think this is a great idea, and you execute it really well. The emotional discomfort the subject feels is evident in their expression, and the sparingly-used effects to depict the pane of glass let us know what the obstacle is without getting in our way.
There's a sparseness to the details you have, yet the crosshatching gives us plenty to go on to form the imagery in our own head. In addition to the emotions they convey, the features are well drawn, with just enough worry lines around them to get the job done. And even the wildness of the hair lends itself to the uneasiness you're creating. Really, just about everything is pulling its own weight in this piece.
The few things that aren't, I'd say, are the pressure points at the heels of her hands. Her hands are too low for them to rest against the pane comfortably like that, and the hands are drawn in a way (foreshortened) that suggests they're still at an angle, not flat. So I'd get rid of the four pressure circles there -- it might even lend an air or timidity to the subject, as if she's not sure how hard to press against the pane.
Just my two cents -- this is a really nice piece. I'm hope whatever pushed you to create it eases off in real life soon!

I really like the shading that is used. It really reminds me of something out of a comic book. The gloomy mood is also very apparent. I feel like the tear going down the cheek was unnecessary as it stands out and looks a bit too viscous. Without it the woman will still look the same due the facial expression being very well done. This is just me being nit-picky though. You can definitely feel a sense of longing by looking at her face. Definitely my one criticism with this piece is the fact that the coat she is wearing isn't outlined, but the rest of her is. It makes me think that the coat is part of the background and that her hands are floating out in front of her. Other than that, it is pretty much perfect. The body is proportionate and the colors used suit the gloomy atmosphere. There seems to be a lot of attention to detail and it doesn't seem like any part of the canvas was wasted. I would honestly love to have something like this as a poster to hang up. It's that good.

The expression is very well done and the dim colours really suit the meaning behind it. I love the plants and the meaning behind this. As an over-thinker myself I believe I can relate, I hate being trapped in a state where I can't help but over-think.
