What paint tool did you use to create this amazing artwork?

I used fineliners, black color pencil Β and watercolor. I enhanced the saturation and contrast a bit in Photoshop too.

Fantastic piece! You could have added a second layer of meaning to it by shaping it in form of a heart, but I guess that is not what you wanted to convey.
