Ok so I am finally going back to my roots... drawing fan art! I did this of Batman WonderWoman and superman cause well I love them dudes anyhoo ... it took a short amount of time to get the pencils ready then I inked 5 or six times ... still not sure if i'm happy with it but YAY it's done for now! Enjoy allCharacters Copyright DC comics.
EDIT: It was brought to my attention that I did not credit Michael Turner for the style in the above drawing sooooo
The style above is based on Michael Turner WHO IS THE MAN!!!
Go get comics that he drew and stare in awe at the awesomeness that is TURNER!!!

Actually this is my own piece done in (what I hope to be) his style lol I love mike and his art is always used as reference... i dont post alot of fan art on here but I was proud of the way this came out. And you are so right I should have put credit down I feel ashamed that I did not but I am righting that wrong at this very moment. Hope you enjoyed the piece!

Ahhhh- that's explains it ^^ I admit I've drawn from a few artists before, and it is a tribute/fun thing. It's good to say that you are copying otherwise people think it's your style >.>
That guy you linked- I'm not sure, but he maybe a professional copy cat of Micheal's- I *think* With Aspen, he has a few artists that have a style similar to his to make up for his huge workload- I reckonise a couple of covers. Either that, or he's directly drawing for a few covers- I'm not sure. His stuff looks good, but I wouldn't want to watch him. I don't have alot of time for copy artists. No offence to them, but if I want to buy MT, I'll buy it. I'd much rather they had an original style that maybe it sucks, but it's their heart, not MT's ^^ Doing the odd fanart is perfectly fine in my books though

exactly I use Michael, Mcguiness, lee, and the likes as reference alot just because I am trying to find my own style... I've never had any formal calsses for human anatomy or drawing period I started teaching myself to draw disney movie characters and then progressed in to superheros as I grew older... I'm still not extatic about my own style and the more I look at pro styles the more I adapt different elements which sometimes combine nicely.
You have come a long way your art is very good! Congrats!

Thanks- I've been tinkering y styles for years now.
There's no fast track way to your own style, but I've found it easiest drawing from photos and interpreting it how I like it and not how MT (or someone else) does. Once I've learnt how something looks in my head, then I play with techniques. Techniques is only the icing on the cake. To have your own style, you need firm groundings on form, and how it looks in you head. I'm not saying you can't get it doing what your doing, but doing it off a pro first isn't good. They have already extorted the human figure. I know I elongate alot of body parts- no cause they are like that, but to me it looks nicer. No one told me to do it. MT doesn't use much correct anatomy at all- alot don't. If you want to learn properly, you MUST learn off a real object. I suggest drawing from photos in your own style and see how it goes. Adapt to another style when you understand your s a little more

Actually I love your line art!!! So bleh! lol your amazing! My line art is always messy I end up inking a piece 3 or 4 times before i'm somewhat happy with it... in fact i have to update this image cause i inked a better one lol
