Hard to find words that aren't like "wow", "beautiful", "stunning", etc. There's so much to say, but still doesn't feel like enough to express it just through here. It does seem like you had quite a lot of freedom getting around there, which is great if that was the case.

Thanks! Forest and archaic-looking pathways were a good combination. I didn't expect to find all this, at least not in Japan, of all places.
We didn't see much of even the most prominent cities, spent a lot of time in the countryside instead. That's where all these seemingly empty-looking landscape shots are coming from.

That reminds me of how important tradition can be there, so seeing all that you have actually makes sense. In that respect, it's just as important to see those places as it would be to visit all the major places.
