I always admire artists who can create pretty fantasy landscapes. How do they do itBackgrounds are so tedious and I honestly don't have the patience for them

Not really so tedious but indeed they have their amount of work to be done. The fastest way is to do as less details as possible while keeping the detailed parts as the close or important ones. It's just better when parts of the painting can breathe in comparison to others, although sometimes I don't follow this rule and get lost in details to fast.
