I like the name idea a lot!
But if it was my choice, I'd rather go for Albert, Alexander, or anything that can be shortened to Al instead of Matthew, just for reference's sake.

thanks, i was trying to fit the rhythm of Pinkie Pie's name. Also didn't want it to be too obvious with the Al (Alfred) part of Weird Al's real name
