Basically, I cut it out of a sheet of silver I made and put the shape into a pitch bowl and "stamped" the lines into it. I then folded the top over on itself and soldered it together for the bail. You can order in silver from various companies (Like the Imperial Refinery or Rio Grande) but for this one I bought a silver ingot from a coin store.

wow, that sounds so complicated. I'd love to do metalwork sometime, it's fascinating.
