another view of the Swamplings and Shroomlings piece. this is a WIP shot, but at this point it was pretty much completed except for the liver of sulphur colouring. With this angle, you can see more of the granulation and the settings better.Related content

im guessing anticlastic raising for the band on this piece?? ( i really really like it btw) how did that go with the comfort of wearing??
im looking at trying out some calla lily pieces with a similar technique.........so im just curious......

You're absolutely right, it was anticlastic raising. It's quite comfortable acutually, but it's not particularly a practical ring to wear.

just to be nosy, how thick a guage sheet did you use?

I actually made the sheet from a fine silver ingot. The ingot was originally about 3mm thick, rolled down to about 1 or .8mm thick.

Hehe, it's ok.
Yes, the whole thing is fine silver, except the tall thin wires and the stone settings, while are sterling. Fine silver would have been too soft for those.
