On a day like today: 5 more children were found beneath a broken palace.

Lebanon has seen it all, witnessed the atrocities of war, the blood shed, the destruction, the chaos and finally the light after the long storm, just like many other countries which have struggled to survive.

It still amazes me that people still follow a “leader” a man or woman that promises victory, lamentation and peace. I mean, after all we’ve seen for the past 15 years and the declarations made by all these “leaders”, we still believe them, we wish we can burn them but we still believe them...

Today, The Druze divided again, the Lebanese Forces had a memorial funeral and 2 days ago Hizbullah had The Divine Victory celebration. Is this the Lebanon we voted for? Is it??

People are rooting for their leaders while blood still stains our souls, and hasn’t dissolved into the ground. Maroun El Rass, Marwahin, Qana, Bint Jbeil, and above all Beirut: have they already forgot what happened in July? Have they just erased their memory and went back to their blinded state?

I totally understand the fact that people want to move on and make the best of this coming months but how can we ever move on if we don’t even acknowledge what happened and throw it on other sects to blame? What happened in this country is the outcome of evil leaders that want to destroy the phoenix and burn it! Burn it till it ceases to exist! I still can’t believe that people would even think that Lebanon can become a federal state as if these little children that died and all those who really “root for Lebanon” would accept that stupid fact.

Instead of being a damn sheep, just look at the city.
Look at the mothers who are waiting for their kidnapped sons to come back.
Look at them demanding their return silently, right in front of the UNESCO building.
Look at all these youngsters traveling and leaving this country because they are simply fed up!
Look at the writers, painters and all the other artists who can’t perform because of the fear of getting killed!

People have been so busy following “leaders” and so blind to notice that the war has destroyed our existence! This war has transformed us into little creatures that follow a flag and a figure while their country is falling apart! The UN should actually DO something for a change and religion should be put aside! It’s killing us and we are simply too blind to see beyond the glass box…
