It is about assassins and assassination clans.The main characters are assigned targets to assassinate so that they could climb the ranking ladder.The assassin (of thousands of assassins) to first reach the Muramasa rank (highest assassin rank) will lead a war against the government called dynasty , for a crime that they've committed in the past.
Sounds boring.Isn't.
