I've always been a big fan of the Gargoyles TV show (it was part of my 6 AM morning cartoons regime when I was going to school ^^ ) I've been meaning to design my own Garg charas for quite some time, and I finally got around to it yesterday. I want on a six hour doodle binge. XDMy fav character was always Brooklyn, so my main two characters are fittingly his children. Mei-Hua and Adrian are the children of Brooklyn and a Garg from a Chinese Clan named Lian. They spend half of their time in America, half in China, so they're kind've an ecclectic mix of cultures. Next is Gabrielle, the daughter of Broadway and Angela. She's a shy, quiet bookworm who's more than a little self conscious to have her father's tusks as well as his somewhat portly build.
On the bottom is Shen, the son of the Leader to the Chinese Clan. A little stuck-up and stodgy. Next to him is Asuka, the daughter of Lexington and a Russian-born web-winged Gargoyle named Vera (whom Lex met online
). And finally, my pride and joy, Duncan. Born in Scotland, he's an animal subtype (as most Gargoyles in Europe are). With a penchant for wearing kilts and offensive penis-joke shirts, his response to anyone feeling bad about the way they look "Kiss my arse. Until ye wake up e'ery night looking like a My Little Pony reject, I dinnae want to hear it."

I know quite a few people have commented on this but ducan from all of these is probably my favorite. ..right next to gabrielle...and asuka...and Adrian and Mei-hua.....awww you know what? I think I like them all! But yeah Duncan is diffinataly my fav seems like a sassy blue haired unipegasus...what's not to like?

Lol, I do write fanfiction, actually. Under the same penname. I created these gargs with the explicit purpose of writing about them, but I never got around to it. And now I've had so many people 'enlighten' me (both nicely and not so nicely) to the fact that Lexington is apparently gay, that I dunno if I'll ever do it now. Or if I do, obviously poor Asuka will have to either go or be re-done somehow. But I'm glad you like 'em, at any rate. I'm rather fond of them myself.

teehee isn't it fun to make fan babies? I loved gargoyles- Brooklyn was my favorite and I made up fan babies for him...but I can't remember their names or what they looked like...

But catc10 is right: Lexington is gay. The author, Greg Weisman, says so himself and in the comics he has a boyfriend from the London Clan.

This was submitted about a year ago (within a week to the day, for serious) and I just found it now and have a few comments to make.
1) Hearts pour forth from my chest cavity like the guts from mice heated in hot coffee water. I love these designs that much.
2) If you're to believe rumor, than Brook's kids would have been a little more messed-up socially because the planned spin-off that never was had him getting sucked into the time-stream by the Pheonix Gate, and re-appear five minutes later, 40 years older, with a garg wife from Japan (I don't know what era exactly, but not the present) and two kids that grew up time-hopping.
3) Gabriella is just about the prettiest girl garg I've ever seen because none of them have figures, I swear! They're metabolism is so high all the offical ones I watched in the show have like...B cups, at best. Haha, yeah, she reminds me of me.
4) Shen and Duncan are the official bishounen of this group, I'm sorry Adrian, you just don't have it (besides your beautiful, beautiful muscles.) Seriously, their designs are rocking, though I'd think that the pants on Shen would be loose enough that he wouldn't tear holes in the knees, or if he did, his position would let him be in quick find of a new pair.
5) Last but not least: Asuka. For having a Russian mother and a Scottish father you'd think she'd have a less asian sounding name, but maybe I just don't know enough names from either culture...I love her design, very cute and petite, but her boobs are a tad large for her frame. Maybe this is intentional, maybe it is not. Either way, it makes me afraid for her back. Having her as pink with curly blond hair makes me squee from sacrine cuteness. Now: I'm from the camp that says Lex was gay (he's good with babies and with the exception of only one episode never had a crush on a girl, or anyone, but they'd hardly have allowed otherwise on a children's cartoon show in the 90s,) and even I think she's adorable. That's talent.

Gargoyles stopped showing on prime-time television sometime in the late nineties/early 2000s? The fans still have a monthly fanart contest, an annual convention, there's a comic, and the show is still on air, just at two thirty in the morning on Jetix (Central Time.)
This show had it all and quit too early, it was the 'Avatar' of it's time.
Anything related to it is like, touched by gold angel feathers because even now it can gather new fans and you can draw them pretty damn well. So yeah. That's expected, their being liked and all.
I think I would like to see more of them. 'Specially Duncan. Yeah. I would LOVE to see more of him.

For some reason, Duncan reminds me of one of the Ninja Turtles. Not his looks but his pose and "attitude" that it seems he's giving off.
