I assume that this is midsummer, and therefore it has its summer coat on; winter coat is so much more fluffy and majestic, and more pale, to blend with the banks of snow!

Then there's that debate if the more lynx-like variant is merely just a mutation in coat colors or if it is an actual subspecies, and acquiring a decent sample of DNA can be so challenging, since they move about with Yeti-like stealth. There's even a rumor of more lion-like mutation showing up in Ruoholahti, but that turned out to be a hoax, so...
Exciting times! Let me know if you find a lynx-variant prowling at your backyard, I've been tipped off that they like honey-baked and smoked ham something fierce.
