... having a chat on the road about the strange winter with no snow or ice.Yes, size difference is fairly accurate. A moose can be over 2 meters high at the shoulder. It's bigger than a horse and can weigh 7-8 times more than a reindeer.

Indeed a strange winter. And with the winter darkness, the snow is dearly missed.
Beautiful creatures, and exactly to size. Someone described a moose as a cow on stilts, something you will notice if you hit one with your car and the body comes in through the front window.

Indeed, it's so dark and wet without the snow 
Thank you They move surprisingly fast and easy in rough terrain with those stilts. It can be hard to detect before it is in front of your car. A reindeer will damage your car, but a moose can kill you.

Well, I am in Copenhagen, so it is less bad here than in Tampere, Turku, Kittilä or wherever you are. (Although i'd guess they do have snow in Kittilä)

Ah, I have driven through Copenhagen and the huge bridge to Sweden a few times 
Very weird winter. In Lapland they have -30 to -40 C and more snow than usual. In the south it's 0 to +5 C, no snow on the ground and no ice on the sea. That is an absurd difference between the northern and southern parts of the country

Kan inte säga jag har danska vänner. Har talat med danska motorcyklister några gånger på mina motorcykel resor. En berättade om hur han körde från Egypten till Syd-Afrika.
Har fått lite danskt språkbad via TV. Såg nyligen en 5-delad serie där Nikolaj Coster-Waldau åkte runt på Grönland. Har också sett en del avsnitt med Frank Ladegaard Erichsen och Antikduellen. Sett några filmer med Kim Bodnia också

Jeg har mest holdt mig til at læse oversatte finske tekster: "I långa loppet" af Nousiainen, Lite Paasilinna, og en tokig bok om en kille, der skriver dagbok - baseret på en blog. Han drikker og knuller - og det er alt. Jo, så drikker han også...

Renens horn var gråa och såg inte bra ut, så jag använde en "rostig metall" textur på dem istället

Funkade det ju bra, tycker renen ser kanon ut, älgen .... hmmmm ... bra men lite väl fluffig i pälsen, mer som ett gosedjur jag köpte
