Description
In a far corner of the Conservatory lies an old, disused wing where the plants are just a little wilder, and moss has taken over. In a tiny pool of light cast by the one bit of glass that has not been covered over with dust and growth, a massive statue stands of an unknown Esk, barren of plants save the real ones growing all over the cracks in the ancient stone. A tarnished plaque beneath the statue says simply "The Eldest", with no other explanation. You stare up into its unseeing face, somehow pristine though it ought to be crumbling. It looks familiar, somehow...

This wing of the Conservatory is a room that centers on this large statue. It appears to be ancient as the glass is covered in dust and moss so that it is difficult to see through. A few leafy plants have broken through, but otherwise almost every bit of green is moss. The statue itself is tucked against the far wall with a single beam of light falling through, as if somehow the statue's very presence has prevented the plants from growing over the glass in just that one spot. There is not much else in this room, and no matter how many esk come through here it feels as though each is the first to discover it in a very long while.

If you want to use this idea in your Esk art please feel free! It's been a personal headcanon of mine since VERY early in the TWWM group's existence. This piece is actually several months old and I've been hanging onto it for a bit. So very pleased with how this one turned out.
