AU concept: 3-5 years after Undertale's original timeline, Chara is revived from the dead, along with Asriel. Asriel and Chara welcome Frisk into their home after Frisk decided not to leave. Toriel and Asgore get back together after working things out. During that time, Toriel gave birth to another child: Austin. As Austin grew up, Frisk and Asriel developed a very strong bond. Chara however was taking advice from Sans on how to be a sentry. Papyrus didn't think Sans was the best choice because... Sans is Sans. Chara has their first job as gatekeeper in training, sort of as a starting point for a sentry. Chara witnesses the manifestation of the soul of Sprout, A Vegetoid Clover monster that came to be where Frisk originally fell. Chara kept watching for humans. Then after an hour, Lucky, the Third human, fell into the underground. Chara was suspicious so they kept watching. Sprout met Lucky and attempted to kill them out of fear, however Chara stepped in to save Lucky. Lucky was brought back to the Ruins, badly injured.
