Description
So this is my first piece following Virgo's story. c: I'm cutting out most of her foalhood (not important bits) as her foalhood has nothing to do with what she has in store, it's just typical, however I will add some pieces (aka, like this one) I also wanted to introduce her parents so I thought this would be the best way to do so. So here we go! (P.s, I'm sorry but I'm so not good a story writing so you'll have to bare with me)

It were a scorching summer day, late in the month of August. Clover's foal had been due for so long, and all the other mares in other herds had already dropped way back around April/May time. Zodiac, Clover's mate, had been by her side watching her every move since her due date, this was his first foal too so they were both extremely nervous. As Clover plodded along, humming lightly to a tune in her head, the wind captured her mane, manipulating it into a dance as she walked briskly towards the hilly area of Zodiac's territory. Zodiac trotted beside her slowly, nudging her lovingly as he did so, his beautiful dappled coat bathing in the harsh sunlight. Clover turned to Zodiac as she noticed her looked slightly worried. 'You can go back, you know. I'm not expecting to give birth any time soon.' She insisted politely. Zodiac raised his bushy brows, his fern colored eyes switching from his herd to his mate. 'I'm sure they'll be fine. I don't want to leave you, I get worried.' He replied certainly. He wasn't budging.

Clover chuckled lightly, then began to speak - before being dramatically interrupted by a frantic pelvic pain. 'Zodiac..I think the foal is on it's way!' She exclaimed, her voice shaking by the pain. Zodiac's head shot up, his short mane bouncing on his head, he looked around for a moment as if there were another horse to help him. 'W-what do I do? Clover? Are you alright? W-what can I get you? Ple-.'

'Hush.' His words were cut short by a strangely calm Clover, who gently nuzzled him to stop him worrying. 'Relax, you're not the one delivering. I need you to stay calm for me.' And with that, she laid down ever so carefully, preparing herself in position to give birth to their foal. Zodiac did as she said, gave her a nod of acknowledgement, and laid beside her, gently caressing her with his teeth. He groomed his mate and nuzzled her as she endured the painful miracle. For a first birth, she was doing ever so well.

After a short while, Clover exhaled a relieving breath. And then followed the high-pitched whinnies of a new born filly. Zodiac looked at his daughter with pure love and surprise, she looked like her mother but so much like her father too. She had inherited his dapples, along with her mother's snow white coat. She was accompanied by a pair of astonishing, bright emerald eyes just like Zodiac's. Together they had made the perfect foal. 'Now it's just a naming game..isn't she beautiful.' Clover chuckled. Zodiac was speechless, his dream had come true. 'I think...Virgo...It's a zodiac sign and she was born in late August, so, she is a Virgo.' The bright colored stallion nodded, agreeing with his mate. 'Perfect name for a perfect filly.' And with that, the pair both nuzzled their foal, while relaxing in the sun for a while.
