Rebloggable on tumblr.Sorry I haven't uploaded anything in a long time. I've been both busy and kind of a lazy ass so I haven't drawn much, aside from sketches (both in sketchbook and on my lecture notes!)
I saw Rise of the Guardians over winter break and fell in love (as you probably know) with Jack Frost. The whole thing was animated really well, and I have a theory that Dreamworks somehow sold their souls to the devil to obtain the perfect formula of gestures, expressions, personality and looks that every pubescent fangirl wants in her man. Because that is what he is. Pretty much.
I can't praise the story as much, but it's okay.
Anyway, I wanted to capture some of Jack's angst over not being able to remember his past. I was planning on polishing this up some more and making it a painting (and adding fearlings), but I kind of like it this way. BUT if anyone wants it as a print and wants me to paint it properly for San Diego Comic Con then PLEASE TELL ME so I can do so.

Im writting a story where Jack doesnt get ALL of his memories back. And he only gets a few flash memories of a girl he cant remember. And this picture represents that VERY well...

Haha, maybe it's because fanartists and fanfiction writers think alike? xD Plus, a lot of artists are also writers! So they're bound to have similar ideas.
This piece is more about how Jack can't remember (SPOILER for people who haven't watched ROTG yet) his sister until the middle of the movie, and he keeps hearing that voice calling from his past but doesn't know who it is. I wanted to capture that longing that he had.

I fell for it too! And usually I hate it when I can tell that I'm being hooked, and that hate will prevent me from falling for it, but Jack Frost's powers of attraction are too strong. I was internally squealing through the entire movie.

She didn't put her hands on him, but I drew her hands on him to represent his memories calling out to him.
