Mos def Japenese. VERY Japanese. I think its bizarre that you can nail the style and aesthetic so well, and not know for sure. Between the eyes and the brain there's definately a big part of you that knows the difference.

However, as an artist, it never hurts to familiarize yourself with the cultures that inspire you. Especially if you call them out by name.
Also intimacy with culture can add symbolic depth to work. Marrying the old and the new. This makes something exceptional.
(I'm not sanctioning any of these following works but...)
It's the difference between Shaolin Showdown and the Avatar or Naruto. I'm sure people like Shaolin Showdown, but the impact of one outweighs the other... ONE of the reasons is cultural sophistication. feel me? If you care about what I'm saying, send me a note.

I kinda like a blend of pan-asian design influences... it's more fun to play with 'em freely, rather than stay within a single culture.
