I know I promised not to do any NiGHTS fanart 'til I actually played the games...
But then I promised Munny some arts for Christmas and never delivered and she's been going through some shit and I kinda missed it and I felt bad so I made her give me something to draw for her and she sad NiGHTS and Reala... So I delivered. xD
Cheap background for the win. They're floating in a cloud or something. IDK. Reala's hands were getting on my nerves. :/
I've really never played the games and I'm not a member of the fandom so please don't flame me if I committed heresy, I don't know any better.

This is probably the second time I've seen NiGHTS with pink hair, and it looks good!

The colors are so amazing in this, so strong, opaque and full of life. I wish I could bring myself to use such wonderful colors.
The shading is nice, even if a bit messy and rushed.
As always, I love their eyes, huuuge and shiny, they stand out very much.
That...guy/gal, I dunno XD with the brown hair, his/ her arms seem a bit too thin, especially the left one who's strangely holding Reala.

It looks great! The only thing I noticed is that Reala has blue skin in the games, but I think that with his hair color and the way you shaded, the purply color you used is a good substitute. I also like the fact that Reala looks a little more feminine and NiGHTS looks like a Bishonen then a flat out girl like some people draw. Not sure if you were intending to do that, but it still looks good never the less.
As always, I'm jealous of you digital coloring skills.

The purple actually came about when I tried to paint over a normal skin tone with blue. xD I decided the purple was more attractive so I went with it.
And yeah the gender thing was just sort of a happy accident. I know Marens are genderless and all that so I didn't want to imply one way or the other so I just sort of moved towards the center, making Reala a touch girlier and NiGHTS more boyish. xD Glad it worked out.

Your versions of both of them are adorable /and/ sexy.
It's interesting to see Reala with a hair color other than black, red, or some combo of the two. And I have no idea why no one else has drawn NiGHTS with pink hair yet! It looks so good on him!

You did fine honey, NiGHTS and Ree are open to interpretation in terms of humanizing them. A good chunk of the fanbase tends to use TRiP's designs for more human-looking versions, but it's always fun to see a new spin on a character.
The pink hair actually complements NIGHTS' outfit, in my mind X3
