Description The sound of metal hitting cold earth rings out as the man strikes his shovel down, declaring the job complete. He takes off his hat, wiping the cool sweat from his brow, and then tugs his hat on once again, the brim down low. He rests his arm on the gravestone, unable to read it in such a dark night. He imagines it is his grave, and that when his time comes there would be no one to dig it for him, so he would end up doing it himself, his lifeless limbs grabbing hold of his trusty shovel.

A great sigh escapes him, and he thumps his boot down on the gravestone base, as if to say to the body six feet down, "Move over, I'm tired too..."

This is a pencil drawing I did. I did this one a different way, I actually drew the basic body form in that position, and then a couple days later decided on the detail and who it was going to be.
As this drawing goes, it isn't all that dark, but he is a grave digger, and so that has a death theme to it.
I personaly like the way the hat is, hiding most his face, since he is the faceless man who digs the graves.
I'm not a hundred percent happy with it, but I figure it's good enough for a deviation. Some might say it is too rough, and should be in scraps, but I actually like the rough style, so there
