This is a carousel horse I drew for my mother for her birthday.Prismacolor pencils on cardstock. Measures 5-1/2" x 5-1/2"

WHOA! that is sooo cool for somebody that never draws horses(or said so in a different comment) that is freakin amazing! how long did it take you?
oh and i noticed a tiny bit of misplacement of tack but it is hardly noticeable so who cares about a mistake? but really its better than my carosel horse!

I honestly can't remember how long it took me on this one. I normally try to keep track, but it looks as though I forgot to do that on this. Sorry!

Ohhh, pretty! ^ ^ I have a hard time with carousel horses. Or full body horses in general. I love the columbine flower in her saddle. It's one of my favorite flowers of all time.

I've grown up with a fear of horses, so they've never been something I've drawn. My mom really likes carousel horses though, so I was determined to make it at least recognizable as a horse.

Beautiful design... The intricate workings of the decorations are striking, and eye-catching. This horse looks as elegant as a carousel horse should.
The waxy shine to the hooves and mail/tail bring this out so much, especially from the tan background and brown of the horse's body. You did well keeping the dark browns separate from the blacks of the mane!
For outlining in pencils, this is very crisp. Great work.

What a lovely comment! Thank you. If there's anything I can't draw it's horses. I think I did ok on this one, though I'm sure the anatomy's off. Maybe I'll try my hand at more carousel horses in the future...would make good practice, anyway.
