Description "Miss Deschanel, we ask that you please release your hostage."
"Well, okay, if you say so... "

This is my first attempt at a GTS Collage featuring the lovely Zooey Deschanel. I did a lot of experimenting with Photoshop in order to get this to a point where I believed it was decent. Needless to say, there are still a few issues I have with it that I'll probably solve in future collages.

Feedback or advice would be appreciated .

Not exactly a feet-centric collage, but I'm glad you like them.

I just like the thought of how large her feet & shoes are.

Experiment with the smudge tool to break up the smooth edge around the hair.

Mmm...Other than a possible light shadow, this is pretty perfect. Well done!

Trust me, you've done an excellent job. ^_^

If you'd like to learn how to add shadow, try this tutorial. It's how I learned how to add shadows: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByghCL…

I actually was kinda iffy on adding a shadow. I am aware of the technique shown in the video (Well, barely, so thanks for sharing it), however the other objects in the picture, most noticeably the light post, don't seem to be casting any angled shadows to reference from (any that I noticed at least), so, I opted to just put a small radial shadow under her feet. May have not been the best decision but it's the only one I could think of . My main concern here is, as the person below mentioned, the lighting of the model. I shouldn't have used a photo taken in a studio with flash in a picture that takes place outside. Lesson learned there.

Hmmm...I don't think the light post necessarily needs a shadow; it's about 9/10 AM or 2/3 PM based on the time of day of this image, so I don't think the object would necessarily be casting a noticeable shadow at that time. I DO like the radial shadow beneath her combined with the cracks on the pavement; adds more depth to the destruction and how heavy her body has become. But yes, the lighting could be a bit better as noted earlier. I really wouldn't be so hard on yourself; compared to lots of other people who have made GTS collages (myself included), the detail on this image alone is far better than most others have ever attempted.

Only hard part now is to keep up the high level of quality

In this case it almost looks like a direct lighting source like a flash.
Were she that big IRL, it'd be more diffused, like Ambient Occlusion, yeah?
