M-hourglass — Powerless - MTMTE Magnus/Minimus

Description Ultra Magnus and Minimus Ambus. All in all not very good, but I kinda like how Magnus turned out.

Poor Ambus must feel small and powerless without his armor and being the pessimist he is, he must be thinking about the all the worst-case scenarios.


I'm open for commission. Cartoons, games, comics, canon character or OC, you say it I draw it. More info here .

I dig it man. Nice job. The only thing I maight ass would be UMs iconic torso as the shadow or even Tyrests...just a thought, but a good solid piece as is bud.

The original idea was to make Minimus' shadow transform into Magnus, but it was about 2 AM when I got to that part and just got fed up with it. Wanted to fix it afterwards, but I simply couldn't get myself to touch the finished piece, so I left it like this.

Still, I'm glad that you like it as it is.

Really good, though as you've seen from the recent MTMTE issue, Ambus may not be worrying for much longer....

I hope not. He's not among my favorite characters, but I think he has lot of potential now that he's out of the armor. Personal drama seemed to be a thing in the comic, so I think they'll keep him around.

Thank you very much. It was the first time I tried to draw something non-humorous, and I don't know how much I succeeded. All these feelz from MTMTE are getting at me.

BTW, have you read Issue 19?

I read it today. The feeling of the larger-than-life reputation of Magnus and being in the shadow of the role taken away really comes through in your painting.

Did Whirl stab Cyclonus? Why?

Thanks. It was a gamble for the writers to make the Minimus/Magnus twist, but they are pulling it off surprisingly well. I just hope that they'll keep him around.

I think it was one of the Legislators who stabbed Cyclonus - they were made of Circle of Light members, so they could still be carrying their swords, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for the theory. Whirl is crazy enough to do it, but I doubt Cyclonus would be thankful to be stabbed.

You succeeded. This isn't one of my all time favorite TF characters, but this painting makes me sympathetic to his ordeal.
