Β Actually the simple hairstyle in the photo would have been far more likely in the actual middle-ages than any fancy hairstyle out of a movie or show aboutΒ a medieval world. They did not have blow driers, hair spray, etc.
Queens and the highest noble women are the only women who could have afforded profession people to look after their hair.
A semi-wealthy wife or daughter of a trader could afford to have her done up real nice maybe once or twice a year.
On those occasions she would not be wearing a traveling cloak but some sort of elegant frilly gown.
So I stick with my original comment; the hair looks perfect for the costume.

I was wondering the blue sleeve, is that an under dress? If so is it the same cotehardie cut (like 8 gusset) or a simple cut dress?
Trying for my own I know I need a shift but how many layers I heard from shirt to main dress and one else under.

it's cotte simple, and it's made a bit differently, you may find some patterns on the internet
you might want to use some of those, they are all based on iconography and troves

No that does help. I haven't done much cutting for it yet I keep playing with the cut (I never cut till I sure it be right. Took me a week before my last outfit to cut it.)
