While I understand your point, and agree to some extent.... It is completely untrue that all equestrian sport is cruel.
If it were... then why do horses run from the far end of their meadow to their owner, who's gonna put them to work for sure? It's not food... they have plenty of that in the meadow... they won't get any, no matter how fast they try to reach their owner...
Thay, the horses I'm reffering to, WANT to work. They LIKE co-opperating with humans, and to do their best for them. This goes for horses in all sports, including racing and military, which I admit are mortally dangerous for both horse and riders. But yes, some horse LOVE to jump and to race. What people should realize is that the horses who don't like it won't win anyway, so that those horse won't be used for something they dislike. But yeah, there are still many that love it... even my own simple mare, with no talent or anything... If I ask for a canter outside on a lush green path, with nice footing and plenty of space... she's canter calmly and quite happily, ears forward, relaxed chewing on nothing, as I ride bitless. When I ask the same thing, in the same place, with another horse there? She'll shoot of and run her longs out, and keep going until she's in front. SHE chooses to race, not her rider. For jumping? Same thing... we're just kinda trotting around the riding hall, not especially doing anything, reigns hanging loosely... Somebody sets up a jump... My mare suddenly turns around, speeds up, and jumps over. Just cuz she felt like it. IF the horse wants to do it, then how can it ever be cruelty?
I know there's a lot of cruelty in the industrial world of horses and their riders. Those horses are forced to do what they do. It's terrible to watch for those who truly love horses. But that does not mean it's all bad. It means something went wrong and has to be fixed... For example, the way dressage tests are judged should change... conditions for the horses while they are not working should be improved... Cruel forms of riding should be banned...
But banning the whole sport? Ridiculous.

Aww D8 Stables like that are aweful. its lucky that not all horses have to suffer like that. our horses are treated like royalty.

I like your comic a lot but I just hope that you don't think all equestrian stables are hell holes for horses. It makes me sad to see animals suffer but if just one place mistreats the animals that live there,every one thinks that their all bad. Just saying......still love the comic though.

I completely truly fully fairly support this because people have to find out that horse races are not good for horses at all and should be stopped.
Of course, I've signed both of the petitions

By the way, I wandered through your gallery and noticed that it's horses that you draw and like the most so I wanted to say that they're my favourite animals, too

And your drawing is simply purely entirely absolutely amazing *_*
