Description Part of a series of three druid characters that I did for the most recent issue of Kobold Quarterly. I definitely could made the gesture of his pose more dynamic, but oh well!

This guy is a variant of the base D&D druid class. He gives up some abilities, but gains many animal-related skills. It can transform into animals better than a regular druid or something like that. All of his clothing, armor, and accessories are animal-based; hide, leather, claws, bone, etc.

One of my favorites of your characters. And this is a really great pose in addition to a strong design. Makes the silhouette work better.

Thanks, Kirsten! This guy was hella fun to draw and design. I think it's obvious looking through my gallery that I'm partial to character and costume designs featuring lots of animal elements; hides, skulls, claws, etc.

Thanks! Those are claws. One of this character's powers is the ability to morph his hands into deadly claws.

I like the pose. I especially like the fingers turning into claws.
I also like this style better than the black and white pictures. I like how the shape of things are defined by shadows (probably because I'm still very bad at doing that)

Yes, I prefer this style more as well. I will be posting a large batch of images fairly soon in a similar style to my Shadow Fey stuff, though, but drawn with real ink pens and toned markers rather than all digital.

Not really. I painted it without reference. He does have a sort of Peter Postlethwaite look about him, though.
