Description A speed paint / colour/ enviro concept inspired by a drive beside one stormy Wellington Harbour.....I made it just a tad more dramatic.
I love doing water....I could have punched it up better in areas... but..ah..nah.

Hi during February I asked (after some faves ) if I can sometimes ask for help, so time has come for wave did You use just round brush and some basic scatter brush (basic - without some really special options) ? I am photoshop user

No problem. Yes i think I used a round brush or an "oil texture" brush of varying opacity to create most of the forms. I use GIMP and the splatters of water was a custom brush that looked like water splatter of varies size; and I varied opacity, direction and size. You could simulate the same thing using photoshop's brush settings

The particulate/splatter look you've managed with the spray is very impressive - is it a particular digital brush, or did you just draw each individual spot? (I don't know a lot about digital painting.)

Lovely colours too.

Hey thanks for the nice words! About two months ago I probably would have drawn every spot, but I learned to take advantage of the tools at hand; It is a digital brush....I believe it came with the GPS(Gimp paint studio) addition pack to GIMP...And it really is all about the toolmaker not the tools

It's a fantastic brush effect, and very well used in context.

This is cool. I can't say I like the colours, but that is just me. The water is nice, and yes, A drive along the Wellington harbour in stormy weather is epic!

Thanks. It started out with much more serene colours, but the drama of the waves seemed to call for something a bit more unsettling

I thought it may have been a bit understated.
