A brief visit to the Coroba milk bar, and you would be surprised what you come up with! Thanks!!!

In the "old days" all my friends' faces looked this cool! Very fine and funky manip. And personally, I feel that if the "fractal" portion of an image is really the main ingredient, it should go in the Fractal category. Why are some so anal about categorization? Lots of stuff can fit nicely into multiple categories.

At least in my opinion, if it is created within the fractal program, the result is a fractal. Ultrafractal has the ability to import images much the same as Incendia does and I use the image for shape, shading and form... I still requires a lot of masking, additional shading and use of an extreme number of layers to create the finished work....

You are true to the art of categorization and would make an excellent librarian (if you weren't such an kick-ass, prolific artist!). Yeah, Incendia and Chaos Pro have the ability to use backgrounds and layers, but I find I prefer doing the composit in Gimp (and I just got Corell--wow!), but if I feel that overall the work is most about a fractal, then I post in the Fractal Gallery. At least so far (knock on silicon), the Administrative Overseers haven't jerked me around. And damn, Incendia rocks! This is going to be a hot program, I'll bet!

Peace!

Wow! That's quite a compliment, thank you!!!!
Incendia also has what they call d-maps, which are actually B/W images that make up all of the shapes used rather than using just a straight math... So, if they qualify as fractals, I see no reason why similar works don't!!
I just got a Wacom Intuos 4 for x-mas and it came with Photoshop Elements which is good for a lot of stuff, but I still use Photo Filtre for a lot of accuracy and some features that PSE doesn't have...but it doesn't layer.....

Well, why dont uploaded it into "digitalart ยป photomanip ยป people" then ?

If you read the fractal moderator PLATINUS article of what is to see as a fractal I think you realize that several of your uploads in your gallery dont belong into fractal gallery.

The only portion that wasn't made INSIDE of UF was the mask... The others you are speaking of were made entirely within Ultrafractal or I would classify them different. The technique used is almost identical to using d-maps in Incendia where the image is used as a base in B/W and the fractal is layered around it using the merge modes....
