It's actually a design cut out of a serviette and transferred to a styrofoam egg. Then painted with multiple layers of varnish.
It's really simple to make but takes some patience and time

Kool, I'll have to keep an eye out for interesting serviettes.I have a load of styrofoam eggs, but have several exams coming up so I'll try and fit it in sometime
