Love the fire effects, it looks so soft yet so dangerous! Something I noticed is how dynamic the lighting and the shading is and then looking at the background behind the dragon, it looks slightly unfitting to my eye because of how dark shading there is in a foggy, hazy area. Unless the fire figuratively and literally chopped through the haze and blew it away for the dragon to have that much shading, I think it's just a tad bit off.
But to be honest, I really love the shading and lighting regardless of the setting (I'm one of those lighting and shading praising artists) though! I just thought I would bring it up in case you noticed this or not.

i tried to make it look better the best i could, but i couldnt figure anything ;w;
im still very new to backgrounds so things will look wonky for a while ahah!

Well I say you are doing really well so far! I'm not that any better with backgrounds either and I'm still trying to fix that too (haven't drawn natural backgrounds in forever), so I'm really really jealous!
Also, even with the sun being covered by haze, it still would have had a little bit more lighting on the dragon too, maybe just a few highlights to emphasize that the sun is hitting on its body.
I'm really positive that you will even create even better backgrounds, but as long as your having fun doing them, that's all that matters!
