You are always very very welcome Tom

Tried out my new art supplies today, cold wax andΒ
oil paints...What a mess.....LOL

The good thing is I have oils from about 20 years ago
and not having to buy them saved me about 1000.00
dollars in paint supplies....

I never throw any paints away...really glad I didn't this time

I haven't heard of cold wax before, but it sounds like it
would add some resonance mixed with oils. I can't wait
to see some of the results you make. I think it is an
interesting idea.

I have a pack of oils that I haven't used yet, and I've had
them for quite awhile. You're inspiring me to use them, but
I have a little problem of what medium to use like: Linseed
Oil or turpentine. I guess that all comes with experimenting.

It does...I love the linseed oil, but have not used the turp yet

Linseed oil sounds good, I haven't used turp
in quite a few years and it seemed to me to
be toxic. But it did clean the brushes real well.

My painting area is so small I could not work with Turp under my feet,
so the linseed is great alternative

I had that that question in my mind recently.

In the old days, I used turpentine, but I haven't used
it in years, and I don't think I would like it now.

I have a set of oil paints that are still in the package unwrapped
which I haven't used yet, and it has been along time since I've
used oils, and I would like to get back to them.

It sounds like linseed oil would be a better alternative for me.
