Eeh it's not really crack at all, though, is it? The interactions they did have in the manga were actually quite a bit of a material, and their personalities are pretty damn compatible. They ended up working together for a while, too- I'd say the ship is at least as plausible as bothGoldSilver and GreenRed. They simply didn't get the quality time within the timeline shown, that's all BD
But silver did blush a bit when Green put an arm around his shoulder /cough

I do agree about the thing with rival/rival and hero/hero thing. I really like GoldRed, and GreenSilver is my OTP for this fandom. I'm not into PreciousMetalshipping although I can see where the fans come from (even if the only really big hint I saw for it was in the Emerald arc, when Gold blushed when Silver said he could still hear and feel things while he was turned into stone). I'm not really big on RedGreen though. It's a similar story as GoldSilver to me - a pairing that is fine, but isn't anything special or interesting, really.
