Description After spending a restful 4 days in Sedona, AZ, I decided to visit Monument Valley since it was only a few hours away. It had snowed the day before, so it would be a good photo opportunity.

Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, It is located on the Arizona-Utah state line (around 36°59′N 110°6′W), near the Four Corners area. The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation, and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163.

East and West Mitten Buttes are two distinctive geological features found within Monument Valley in northeast Navajo County, Arizona.

I like the dramatic skies and the monument silhouette. Also the color of the skies...something from my dreams as a kid. It was Surreal stuff, but I like it.
